Who Are We

Go To DocWe have been commissioned by Oldham PCT and Tameside & Glossop PCT as the preferred provider of all the out of hours provision for the vast area of Oldham, Tameside and Glossop.

We aim to provide high quality, patient centred out of hours GP cover for all GP surgeries within the Oldham, Tameside and Glossop areas.

As of January 2006 Go To Doc provides a service to approximately 450,000 patients covering 475 GPs and 88 surgeries. Go To Doc provides a full out of hours triage, advice, face to face treatment centre and home visit service.

Pharmacy First
Your local pharmacist has been trained to treat a range of minor illnesses. This scheme means that you can get treatment.

We are currently situated near to the centre of Oldham on Yates Street & our satellite centre is based on Stockport Road, Guide Bridge, only minutes away from the centre of Ashton under Lyne.

Dr GreenhoughDr Greenhough

Dr Greenhough is a partner of a local small surgery in Mossley, where she job shares with her colleague. In addition to her work as a director of Go To Doc, she is a member of the Tameside & Glossop PCT Professional Executive Committee and is the PCT lead for Unscheduled Care, Mental Health and Drug Misuse. Dr Greenhough also works as a Hospital Practitioner with the Tameside & Glossop Substance Misuse Service.

Dr HartleyDr Hartley

Dr Hartley is a partner of a large surgery in Oldham. He has worked at Go To Doc for seven years and has been a director of the service for five years.

As well as working as a GP he is involved in training GPs and medical students.

Dr KapurDr Kapur

Dr Kapur has worked in Oldham as a GP for over 20 years and has been involved with Go To Doc since the initial development of the Out of Hours services 10 years ago.

He has also been an active member of the Local Medical Committee, the Audit Advisory Group and has been a G.P advisor to the Local Health Authority on commissioning health services and in dealing with NHS complaints for the North West Regional Health Authority. 

Dr LewisDr Lewis

Dr Lewis registered as a GP in Manchester in 1986. He is a partner of a surgery in Oldham, where he also is a GP Trainer.  He is a GP member of the Oldham PCT Board and also a GP member of the PCT Professional Executive Committee. In addition to this, Dr Lewis also works as the Clinical Governance Lead for the PCT. In his spare time Dr Lewis enjoys quad biking.

David BeckettDavid Beckett

David is the Chief Executive of Go To Doc.

He joined the organisation in April 2005 having spent the previous 3 years as a Director of Commissioning & Modernisation in a Primary Care Trust (PCT) in Buckinghamshire.

He graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in 1992 and has since held a number of positions in the NHS including Assistant Director of Strategy & Planning at Buckinghamshire Health Authority, Acute Services Strategy Manager, primary care fund holding manager in Manchester and posts in clinical and forensic psychology.
