Receptionist/Admin Assistant Person Specification

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Post Title: Receptionist/Administrator

SKILLS:

Essential :


Good organisational skills

Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills

High level of self motivation

Ability to meet deadlines and achieve targets

Desirable:

Understanding of the NHS

EXPERIENCE:

 

Essential:

Experience of working on a busy reception desk and switchboard

Experience of working on own initiative and well as in a multi-disciplinary team

Desirable:


Experience of working within the NHS


Experience of summarising patient records

Experience of working with the general public

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Essential:

Minimum of 5 GCSE "O" level at Grade C or above (or equivalent )

Desirable:

Computer skills to NVQ Level III or ECDL

OTHER:

 

Essential:

The ability to work as part of a team as well as be able to work on own initiative

Willingness to undertake the training required to do the job

Willingness to abide by the organisation's policies and procedures

Desirable:

Flexibility in relation to working times
