Quality and Performance
Clinical governance is a new name for established concepts.
"In The Modern and Dependable NHS Clinical governance involves’ action to ensure that risks are avoided, adverse effects are rapidly detected, openly investigated and lessons learnt, good practice is rapidly disseminated and systems are in place to ensure continuous improvement in clinical care."
Go To Doc Ltd is committed to the principles and concepts of clinical governance, recognising that it is a concept made possible through staff, structures, processes and systems. We are dedicated to providing high quality in all of our services.
Clinical Governance is integral to the delivery of our high quality out of hours care and is aligned with the following “National Quality Requirements and Core Standards for Out of Hours Care” which is laid down by the Department of Health.

- We have systems in place to support and encourage the regular exchange of up-to-date and comprehensive information between all those who may be providing care for patients with predefined needs (including, for example, patients with terminal illness)
- We regularly audit all aspects of the service we provide
- We operate a complaints procedure that is consistent with the principles of the NHS complaints procedure
- We provide up to date training for all members of staff
- We ensure that patients are treated by the clinician (doctor or nurse) best equipped to meet their needs
- We have links with an Interpretation Service
- Ensure services are provided in a safe and secure environment and are supportive of confidentiality.
